Friday morning we took Brutus for his first vets visit.

We took along all his papers and it looks like some stuff was up to date and fine, and other stuff wasn’t, so the vet recommended we should treat him as if he has nothing, just so we know for sure.
So, he had his legally required rabies jabs, his distemper jabs, his “kennel cough” jab, tests for heart worm and a bunch of other stuff. He’s a little podgy, coming in at 22lbs when we’d prefer more like 18-20 lbs ... most importantly for us though, we had him microchipped.

He handled it all great! Taking blood made him a little bit grumpy, but he handled it all without a problem, even playing on the way out.
It’s nice to know everything is *definitely* up to date, while I was pretty sure everything was, it’s just nice to know for sure.
He’s also gotten to go play on the beach a few times this week, he loves it down there! Lots of other dogs, lots of sand to play in and he hasn’t worked out the ocean yet All this water that keeps chasing him!
